Dr. Awkward is a Nerdcore emcee hailing from San Diego, California. In 2009, he released his “Next Gen” EP to overwhelming positive feedback. Several fans of Scrub Club and supporters of Doc heard the music and sent messages to MadHatter, urging him to sign the new artist. Hatter tuned in carefully, not only listening to Next Gen, but also watching Awk’s behavior online. It didn’t take long for him to be convinced that Dr. Awkward was perfect Scrub Club material.
Doc Awk loves to make music, and he loves those who love to listen to his music as well. He’s a self proclaimed nerd who is focused on bringing Nerdcore to the masses, a genre which he takes an honest pride in.
