If the institution of partying had a governing body, it would be POWERLIFTER. Hailing from Wichita, Kansas, POWERLIFTER is quickly becoming noticed across the Midwest as one of the most fun and inventive groups dabbling in the increasingly popular genre of Chiptune. While the band does not actually consider themselves to be true members of the Chiptune scene, they are earning a hefty reputation with the rock crowds.
The console of choice for POWERLIFTER? The infamous Nintendo Game Boy. It serves as the bread and butter of the group, generating the fast-paced, rhythmic, and sometimes distorted beats that drive the band during their alcohol-fused live performances and studio outings.
In a breath of fresh air, POWERLIFTER also continues to promote not only an air of positive social intervention, but also openness towards the gay and lesbian communities. The band supports any and all fans of the group regardless of their orientation.
